  • Reduce asset operating costs
  • Improve M&R management information

Management Information. Delivers event alerts and detailed reports, improving every stage of the M&R process while reducing costs

CONNECTIVITY

IAS connects trading partners—depots, terminals, and repair vendors—and automatically delivers critical information on the EquipmentRepair to equipment owners and operators. All communications are conducted over the Internet, so there is no software installation or maintenance. To begin reaping the benefits, the equipment owner or operator and its repair facilities just need Internet access. With IAS connectivity, trading partners can:

  • Capture event data—including gate moves, estimates, survey requests, work orders, and repair completes—from IAS Connected™ facilities
  • Transfer information using IAS web screens, or send files in ISO/CEDEX (9897/3), EDIFACT structure, flat file, or XML
  • Enjoy secure data storage, convenient information access, and 24/7 professional support

DATA MANAGEMENT

IAS validates and organizes critical M&R information—ensuring that all trading partners are using accurate data. IAS data management lets partners:

  • Extend the power of IAS connectivity with data validation
  • Increase visibility into data errors through tracking and notifications
  • Present M&R data to ocean carriers on IAS web screens, or integrate it directly with in-house systems

WORK TOOLS

IAS provides work tools to automate routine M&R tasks—speeding the repair cycle, improving equipment turn times, and reducing costs. IAS work tools cover:

Approval Processing

  • Extend the power of IAS connectivity with data validation
  • Increase visibility into data errors through tracking and notifications
  • Present M&R data to ocean carriers on IAS web screens, or integrate it directly with in-house systems

Event Notification

  • Automate notification of M&R events
  • Send estimates, survey requests, approvals, and work orders—automatically—to all specified parties

Repair Tariff Hosting

  • Host standard repair tariffs to help depots create more consistent, accurate estimates
  • Check incoming estimates against tariffs for discrepancies—automatically

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION

IAS provides 24/7 access to detailed operational, cost, and status information. This ensures that managers can always make decisions using the most up-to-date and accurate information available. IAS management information includes:

Exception Reporting

  • Alert equipment managers and depots if action is required to keep the EquipmentRepair moving forward
  • Identify operational problem areas using summary reports, such as the depot transmission audit report

Value-Added Integration Services

  • IAS can provide data elements to various departments or operational groups within an ocean carrier. For example, IAS can integrate valuable status data into equipment control systems to update equipment availability information.
  • To meet global or regional reporting requirements, IAS can integrate key data for use by field managers. For example, automated periodic reports that summarize regional activities can improve accuracy and provide substantial time savings.
