Stacktrain Operators and IMCs
InterBox enables equipment providers to establish a virtual stacktrain operation and market their inland empty equipment to Intermodal Marketing Companies (IMCs) and other users. Rather than repositioning empty containers to the port at a cost of hundreds of dollars per unit, IMCs reserve equipment and fill them with domestic cargo for the return trip. The service automates the entire process from managing requests, equipment reservations and approvals to completing the rail billing and invoicing.
