IAS enables its customers to increase revenue, reduce costs and improve service to their customers, while streamlining business processes with their vendors. IAS has operational headquarters in the United States, with offices in the United Kingdom, France, Denmark, India and China.

Methodology

IAS uses a combination of in-house expertise, a consultative approach and technology to meet our customers’ requirements:

  • Expertise: IAS management have held senior positions within ocean carriers, rail companies, logistics companies, container lessors and marine terminals. The IAS team also includes business analysts and system integration experts.

  • Consultative Approach: The fragmentation of the industry means no two service implementations are alike. IAS staff engage the customer throughout the delivery process to specify, develop and implement the solution. IAS has implemented services on behalf of 18 of the worlds leading ocean carriers, 7 container lessors and 8 intermodal equipment suppliers.

  • Technology: IAS has built a data repository and services platform (the IAS Hub, more information below), complete with business rule logic and integration capabilities that support business interaction between companies’ and their trading partners’ systems.

IAS begins each deployment with a full assessment of the customer’s underlying processes around the business area being addressed-- be it container event capture, data processing and quality, operations or visibility and reporting. The processes are analyzed for efficiency and standardization across the customer enterprise, and are measured against industry best-practices.

Each IAS solution typically encompasses both process improvement and a technology/application component—new technology will not be effective without addressing underlying business processes. During the implementation phase, IAS manages rollout of the technology and partners with the customer to deploy new processes. As connectivity is established, data is flowing and new processes bed-in, IAS measures results against project and industry benchmarks to ensure customer objectives and return on investment are achieved.
