The IAS® executive team has held senior positions with ocean carriers, railroads, logistics providers, container lessors, and terminal operators. The technology team is both transportation-savvy and technically innovative. In an increasingly complex industry, where customers place considerable trust in long-term relationships, our industry and technology leadership provides a stable foundation for all IAS services.

Paul J. Crinks

Paul J. Crinks, Chief Executive Officer

Widely acknowledged as a pioneer in applying information technology to improve the efficiency of container shipping operations, Paul has over 30 years of experience in the container shipping industry. Paul joined IAS from Transamerica Leasing, where he was Managing Director of Greybox Logistics Services, an online equipment exchange service. Before running Greybox, he managed Transamerica’s dry container fleet, then the largest in the world. Prior to joining Transamerica, Paul served on the board of a major UK-based leasing company and was responsible for the company’s activities in Europe, South America, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean. Paul began his career at SeaContainers, where he held various positions in the container leasing and vessel management groups.

Steven M. Dowse

Steven M. Dowse, Chief Technology Officer & Chief Operating Officer

Steve has over 30 years of IT experience within the global transportation equipment management arena. Before joining IAS, he served as Chief Information Officer for Transamerica Leasing, where he was a major driver in bringing the company’s information and services to the web. Steve also led various initiatives that positioned Transamerica as a recognized leader in delivering e-commerce solutions within the industry. Prior to Transamerica, Steve was Group IT Director for a major UKbased equipment lessor. Earlier, he developed and managed systems for a leading international oilfield exploration service company.

Phillip M. Behenna

Phillip M. Behenna, Senior Vice President

Phil has nearly 20 years working in and for the container shipping industry in Europe, Asia, and North America. Prior to joining IAS in 2000, Phil held a number of positions with P&O Nedlloyd in the UK, the former Soviet Union, China and Hong Kong, covering Equipment, Customer Service, Business Systems and Trade Management. Based in the USA with IAS since 2001, Phil has held a number of commercial and business development positions, including management of IAS’ domestic intermodal service, InterBox, between 2003 and 2006. Phil is currently General Manager for IAS’ Global InterChange service that matches customers’ container surpluses/deficits around the world.

Christopher P. Mazza

Christopher P. Mazza, Senior Vice President, Business Development

Chris has over 25 years of experience in the container shipping industry and related technology. Before joining IAS, Chris held a variety of managerial and senior-level positions in land operations, finance, and sales. He has worked for Stewart & Alexander (ship brokers), Maersk Line, DSR-Senator Lines and Triton Container International. Chris has strong domain knowledge of container land operations, chassis management, intermodal transportation and expertise in the merging of ocean carrier operations, cost control and work process improvement. He is a graduate of Rhode Island College, and holds a Master's Degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Mike Perusse

Mike Perusse, Senior Vice President, Operations

Mike is a seasoned telecommunications executive, with an unparalleled background in world wide large-scale, mission-critical network, systems engineering, development and operations leadership. Mike has held senior executive-level positions in operations and engineering at MCI International, LCI International, Qwest Communications, as well as chief executive roles at start-ups such as Broadband Utilities and ARM Business Solutions bringing a wealth of hard-learned operational and business leadership experience to IAS.

Blair W. Peterson

Blair W. Peterson, Senior Vice President, Commercial

Blair has over 25 years of container transport industry experience, in roles ranging from engineering and equipment management to marketing and business development. Blair joined IAS from Triton Container International, where he was responsible for container maintenance and repair, fleet procurement and production quality, corporate marketing, and marketing systems development. Prior to Triton, he managed a container chassis and trailer leasing operation at the Port of Oakland for Transport International Pool. Blair started his transportation career with an intrastate all-commodities and intermodal trucking company in California's Central Valley.

Brian Shultz

Brian Shultz, Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Product

Brian has more than 15 years of international experience in supply chain management consulting and technology businesses. Before joining IAS in 2008, Brian worked for Navis LLC, a transportation software provider. While at Navis, he was responsible for sales into the company’s emerging markets, including rail and other inland transportation and logistics service providers. Previously in his career, Brian worked with IBG, a global supply chain consulting company covering the Americas and EMEA and with CellStar, a global telecommunications company, where he managed their Brazilian operations. Brian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in international economics from Texas Tech University and a Master's Degree in International Management from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management.
